Getting Started
Your Flash Checkout site is ready for you to customize!
You should have been given:
1. The address of your admin page (www.yourwebsite.com/admin
)
2. user name
3. password
When you go to the admin page, this is your password
protected control center for you website.
*NOTE you may be asked
for your username & password each time you click
a link in this control center, sometimes even twice
in a row. This is normal.
This Updater page is your control center for your website.
This is where you can control everything about your
website. For more information on the Updater, see "Using
The Updater" below..
Using The Updater
The "Updater" is the interface you use to
enter your website content.
To access your updater, go to:
www.yoursite.com/admin
Just replace "yoursite" with your actual website
address.
*Note you need to enter your account name and password to access the updater.
You may me asked for this twice. This is normal. If you forgot your username and password, contact us and we'll send it to you. Please use an email address that we have on file for you, to verify your identity.
From the updater, you can:
Update your website content,
Check your email,
Upload your pictures,
Browse website templates,
Request a new template,
Email your content to yourself,
Check our referral program,
Or link to this page for help & support.
*NOTE you need Flash-6 to view your site AND to update
your site.
You can tell if you have Flash-6 by going to "update
your website content", if you see the page, you
have it. If you don't have it, you can download it free
here
. Once you are on the updater page, you can change a
field by typing in the boxes, using backspace, or delete
to remove text and after making changes hit "UPDATE"
and wait until you see the message "Success..."
at the top. As a check to verify the changes really
were recorded, hit refresh on the updater page. Also
you can hit refresh on your website page.
You can make changes and check the site to see how things
look. It's recommended that you hit update periodically
while updating, so it saves you work, in case your computer
or browser locks up. Once your changes are accepted,
they are saved on the server.
You may hit the red "email your content to yourself"
button to send yourself a copy of your content, as a
backup. (This way you can "archive" changes
to your site.)
*NOTE the email address in the email field is where
your changes will go. If your new email address is not
set up yet, that use an email address that works now.
Uploading Pictures
From the Picture Uploader Page, you can change the pictures
on your website.
Always use lower case when naming files. Your pictures
need to be in .jpg format ("j-peg")

prepare them, and have them ready on you computer. Then
to upload them, select "Upload your pictures"

Using Email Software Like Outlook
When you subscribe to the Ensemble Package, we provide
you with ONE email account with a web-based email interface.
With the Symphony Package, we provide you with an interface
to set-up multiple email accounts. You may use Outlook,
Outlook Express, or other email software. We will provide
you with the essential information needed to setup your
other email software, however we will not provide technical
support for email problems with other software if the
web-based email is working. When setting up outlook,
or similar programs, use the outgoing (SMTP) setting
provided by your internet access provider. For incoming
mail setting, use POP3, and your domain name. For account
name, use the user name we gave you. To see the user
name we gave you, go to the Updater. It's displayed
at the bottom of the page. For password, use the password
you gave us during setup of your website. If you don't
have this information, or need help, contact
us. |
